Code of Conduct
The Virginia Commonwealth University Code of Conduct is all-encompassing and highlights the university’s ethical standards with clear expectations of how it conducts university business. The document incorporates the VCU Code of Ethics, the VCU Code of Conduct for Business Practices, the VCU Creed and other unit-based codes of conduct into one unified resource.
The VCU Code of Conduct applies to all members of the university at every level, including senior leadership, faculty, staff and student employees. Because of this, all VCU members should familiarize themselves with the code of conduct and all applicable university policies.
Title IX
VCU is committed to providing an environment free from sexual misconduct, assault, harassment or any sex/gender discrimination that may violate Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and other state and federal laws.
Shared Governance Statement
VCU’s model of shared governance reflects our mission of fostering collaboration, transparency and trust among individuals and groups across the university. Read our statement to learn more about our shared governance model and the philosophy behind it.
Policy Library
The Policy Program was implemented in accordance with the Board of Visitors policy, Creating and Maintaining Policies and Procedures. The Policy Program serves as the official university resource for all matters related to the policy making function. The Policy Library is a centralized collection of current universitywide policies governing our university activities.
